The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Center in Doha (ROLACC), last week held a training workshop for 14 students and law professors from De Montfort University in Leicester, UK.

The visit comes as a part of a training program designed for the Faculty of Law at the University of De Montfort. Qatar was one of the countries chosen to visit during their educational tour, and ROLACC was among the institutes visited.

The workshop at ROLACC aimed to assist the students and faculty in their understanding of Qatari law. In addition, it was designed to develop their understanding of key ROLACC projects, such as the Sheikh Tamim Bin Hamad Al-Thani Award for Anti-Corruption Excellence, the LLM program in cooperation with the University of Sussex, and the role of ROLACC within the International Association of Anti-Corruption Associations (IAACA) and the Qatar Law Forum (QLF). The visit ended with a tour of the ROLACC Anti-Corruption Library, the first of its kind in the region.

The Rule of Law and Anti-Corruption Centre provides local, regional and international training courses for various institutions and bodies in the field of the Rule of Law, combating corruption and governance issues in the Middle East and North Africa region.
